Fall Festival and Swap Meet returns to Meriden

MERIDEN (KSNT) – The 47th annual Fall Festival and Swap Meet took place in Meriden is taking place this weekend.

The event is put on by the Meriden Antique Engine and Threshers Association. With over 40 vendors to choose from, some things to enjoy are apple cider, apple butter, sorghum, and arts and crafts. You can even learn about this years corn harvest.

27 News spoke to the president of the association and he tells us why he likes this show more than their summer addition.

“It’s a lot more enjoyable, the summer show is constant,” President of Antique Engine and threshing Jess Noll said. “From sun up to sun down, and in the fall show it allows us to have a little bit more fun, so to speak, talk a lot more with the people that come to partake. Traditionally it has been a laid back show.”

The festival will conclude tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
