The incident occurred during the early morning hours of September 27, 2025, at a residence on First Street.
Tylertown Police Chief Jordan Hill said Kevin Magee, 43, of Walthall County, was transported by an ambulance to Walthall General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
Hill said an autopsy is expected to be performed on Magee by the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine his cause of death. The case will be presented to the Walthall County Grand Jury.
