LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) – The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced a series of recent arrests involving charges ranging from aggravated assault with a firearm to drug-related offenses and outstanding warrants.

According to Sheriff Sam Craft, deputies arrested 49-year-old Jason Scott McDuffie of Rosepine and 45-year-old Kyle Conerly Brack of Leesville on Sept. 24. Both men were charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm. Bond has not been set for either, and both remain in the Vernon Parish Jail.

Also on Sept. 23, deputies arrested 46-year-old Gary Lee Grosenbacher Jr. of Leesville on charges of simple battery and criminal trespass. Grosenbacher remains in custody pending bond.

In a separate case, 31-year-old Kourtney Rose Lewis of Florien was taken into custody on Sept. 24 on an outstanding bench warrant. 30-year-old Gregory Wayne Martin of Alco Hutton was also arrested the same day on one local bench warrant and two out-of-jurisdiction bench warrants. Neither has been granted bond.

Additional arrests include 40-year-old Bobby Wayne Hickman II of New Llano, who was booked on Sept. 22 on an outstanding traffic warrant. His bond was set at $635. 29-year-old Tiffany Freeze of Anacoco was also arrested that day on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Freeze’s bond was set at $1,561.

All suspects remain in custody at the Vernon Parish Jail unless otherwise noted. Authorities reminded the public that all individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
