Taylor Swift brunch at Arnaud’s celebrates ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ album release

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — In less than two weeks, superstar Taylor Swift will release her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

in the French Quarter is ready to celebrate the album’s debut with a special “swiftie” style brunch.

On Friday, Oct. 3, Arnaud’s will host the three-course brunch with lots of fun in store.

“We got glitter from Glitter Up NOLA, and we’ll have a fabulous entrance from Element event rentals, and of course we will have table decor and costumes, and a delicious menu offering our classic dishes and a few new menu items,” Kaitlyn Rodgers, Director of Sales at Arnaud’s Restaurant said.

Rodgers showed us an example of some of the table decor.

“Today we have table decor by Foley Fetes. Very creative, very on-theme, We love the orange and blue theme. We’ve got fans and Taylor Swift 12 champagne flutes. We even got a football here to honor Taylor’s new fianceé, Travis Kelce,” she said.

At this lunch, fans will get to listen to Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and you’ll get the Swift star treatment.

“It’s exciting for us. We love Taylor Swift around here. It brings us back to when she was in town last October and just how positive the vibes were and just how happy everyone was,” Rodgers said.

“We are happy to provide three “The Life of a Showgirl” inspired desserts. We have an apricot, layers of sponge soaked with apricot liquor, and we have a chai creme brulee. Word on the street is that Taylor’s favorite dessert is chai snickerdoodles. We will also be serving a gluten-free, three layer chocolate dessert,” Alyxandria Abreu, Pastry Chef at Arnaud’s Restaurant said.

And of course, they’ll be shaking it off at their French 75 Bar.

“We are making a variation on one of Taylor’s favorite cocktails, the French Blonde. We are doing gin or vodka and we have blonde orange puree, honey, Aperol, and a little bit of genapi liquor with champagne and glitter on top. Get some sparkle and get some showgirl pizzazz,” Christoph Dornemann, Bar Manager at Arnaud’s French 75 Bar said.

The Prytania Theatre at Canal Place will also be celebrating the release of Taylor Swift’s new album. They will be showing Swift’s new 89-minute film with behind the scenes footage, lyric videos, and the premiere of her new music video, “The Fate of Ophelia.”

After nearly 20 years, Friday lunches have made their return to Arnaud’s, and once a month they will have themed-lunches.

The menu features some familiar favorites, along with some new offerings like the Mussels Mariniere, Cobb Salad and the Arnaud’s Happy Meal featuring Shrimp Arnaud, Trout Meuniere and Creme Brulee, just to name a few.
