Two inmates caught with drugs during strip searches in Lincoln County detention center

LINCOLNTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two inmates being housed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center on unrelated charges were found to be in possession of a controlled substance inside the jail.

Detention officers located the drugs during strip searches of the inmates.

Anthony Jwan Farley was reportedly hiding suspected methamphetamine on his body when arrested, and detention staff found the drugs during processing of the arrest at booking.

Farley was charged with one felony count of Possession of a Controlled Substance on Premises of Penal Institution or Local Jail. He received a no bond hold.

Brei Danielle Ledford was found to be in possession of suspected alprazolam, also referred to as Xanax, that she had hidden inside her body after she self-reported to complete a five-day sentence for an unrelated charge.

Ledford was charged with one felony count of Possession of a Controlled Substance on Premises of Penal Institution or Local Jail. She received a no bond hold.
