Wednesday will feature more fantastic outdoor weather and slightly warmer temperatures. Sunny weather sticks around and temperatures warm a few degrees. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s for most and low 90s for hot spots like St. George. By Thursday the north will still be sunny and in the mid 80s, but southern Utah should start seeing a shift in the weather pattern.
On Thursday clouds will start streaming into the south as a low pressure system pulls in Pacific moisture off the coast of southern California. Southwest Utah could see a few isolated showers toward the late afternoon and evening. The low pressure system loiters over southern California which will continue pumping moisture through Arizona and into southern Utah through the workweek.
By the weekend, the system begins to lift north which will bring a higher chance of precipitation to southern Utah and an increase in moisture to the north. Northern Utah has a slight chance of seeing a shower on Friday, but it looks like showers and thunderstorms won’t be favored in the north until Sunday. However, it’s still too far out to say with much confidence when it arrives on the Wasatch Front.
We’ll keep you posted on the latest updates as we draw nearer in our 4Warn forecast both on-air and online, we are Good4Utah!
