Townsend wanted to remind the public about Texas’s Safe Haven Law.

“Just to remind people, there’s an option out there, it’s called the Safe Haven Law. Where you can drop off a newborn infant at any fire station, EMS station, or police station. No questions asked,” Townsend said.

APD said if anyone has any information about the incident, they should contact the child abuse unit at 512-974-6880.
