Montgomery County police stop stolen car, make 2 arrests

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police arrested two people after finding a stolen car in Montgomery County on Friday.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said that around 5:55 p.m., an officer found the stolen car near Georgia Avenue and 16th Street.

MCPD said that the car “came to a stop in the 800 block of University Blvd.” An official said that the stolen car hit a curb, causing its tires to deflate.

Officers took two suspects into custody.

A U.S. Park Police helicopter responded to the incident as well.

Police did not give any further details about the incident.
