Man injured in Jackson drive-by shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after a man was injured during a drive-by shooting in Jackson.

The shooting occurred in the area of Robinson Street and Rose Street around 11:30 a.m. on September 20, 2025.

Bailey Martin, spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS), said officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after the possible drive-by shooting. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No suspect information has been released. Anyone with information about the shooting can contact Capitol police at 601-359-3125.
