SUV crashes into power equipment, causing outage in South Weber
SOUTH WEBER, Utah (ABC4) — An SUV crashed into a power pole in South Weber Friday afternoon, causing a power outage in the area, according to South Weber Fire.

The accident reportedly happened near Highmark Charter School on South Weber Drive. An SUV struck a series of Rocky Mountain Power equipment along the road, causing an outage in a large portion of the east end of South Weber.

This power outage impacts Maverik, Highmark Charter School, Burly Burger, traffic lights, and residential customers in the area, among others. Impacts to local power may last up to 24 hours, South Weber Fire said.

A single occupant of the SUV was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Rocky Mountain Power is currently working on restoration efforts and trying to route power back to those who are affected.
