Update at 10:50 p.m.: Rapson Hall and the area around it have been cleared.
Officials say the suspect has left the area and does not pose a threat.

Authorities are investigating after a report of shots fired on the University of Minnesota campus on Thursday night.
A SAFE-U emergency alert said that just before 8:45 p.m., a University of Minnesota Police Department (UMPD) supervisor reported hearing gunshots near Rapson Hall.
At the time, a student group event with about 300 people was taking place inside the building.
Officers arrived on scene and found no victims, according to the alert.
UMPD and law enforcement are continuing to investigate the incident.
