SF-based fusion food truck to close only brick-and-mortar location

(KRON) — A Filipino-Mexican fusion restaurant inside San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria is closing. Los Kuyas is closing its stand located in the food court of the mall next month, the business announced on social media.

Los Kuyas’ last day will be on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The business had been in operation at Stonestown for nearly six years, Los Kuyas said. It is the only brick-and-mortar location the food truck has.

“After nearly 6 years at Stonestown Mall, we will be officially closing our doors on October 8th, 2025,” Los Kuyas wrote in a social media message. “We’ve enjoyed our time here and look forward to continue seeing you all at our food trucks. We will continue to serve and will keep you all posted with our locations through Instagram! Thank you for your continued support.”

No official announcement has been made by Los Kuyas about where its food trucks will be. Los Kuyas did not provide a reason for its closure.

Until its final day, Los Kuyas is still open for business at Stonestown. Hours of operation are every day from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., closing one hour earlier on Sundays.

Los Kuyas announced this week that it would park its food truck at the Presidio in San Francisco every Monday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (See location on Los Kuyas’ post.)

A year ago, Los Kuyas announced that it was selling one of its food trucks. However, the business did not indicate that it was the end. Los Kuyas plans to stick around and continue on with its business.

KRON4 reached out to Los Kuyas for more information about the closure. We did not hear back in time for publication.
