Louisiana man charged after fentanyl, marijuana found 'in the rectal area'
Warren Robinson, 33, of Baker, was charged with:
A Baton Rouge Police Department officer was on patrol when they saw a driver and a motorcycle that the officer believed was recently involved in a chase with officers. This was due to a description provided of the suspect involved in the pursuit.
The stop was made at 6300 Choctaw Drive, and the officer determined that the motorcycle was stolen. Robinson was taken into custody and stated that he bought the motorcycle for $700. The Baker man said the motorcycle was valued at $4,000, which led the officer to conclude it was stolen.
BRPD said Robinson was asked on multiple occasions whether he had drugs on him and he denied having any. He did have a gun with him when the stop took place around 12:25 a.m.
The Baker man was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, where he tried to get rid of a plastic baggie with drugs in it, BRPD said.
The baggie had around 9.95 grams of fentanyl in it, according to Robinson. It also contained 2.13 grams of marijuana and 1 D/U of amoxicillin, according to the affidavit.
BRPD said he also had a cigarette on his person and added the drugs were found “in the rectal area.”
Robinson allowed for a DNA swab to be taken for the gun. He said the gun was his sister’s.
The Baker man was booked into prison on the same day as his arrest.
