On Aug. 31, 2025, deputies with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting near 9300 West and 900 South in an area west of Ogden.
Deputies arrived to find a large gathering with multiple vehicles leaving the scene.
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, deputies arrested Eli Lee Keddington, 20, who is accused of obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Keddington was identified as an “associate of several suspects” in the homicide case.
Keddington allegedly told police in an interview that he had not discussed the incident with anyone involved and was “unaware of any details regarding the shooting.”
During a review of Keddington’s phone, evidence was found that he had deleted messages in which he discussed details of the shooting, court documents say.
Keddington is being held without bail in the Weber County Jail.
