The incident happened at around 7:45 p.m. According to Utah Highway Patrol, crews responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash near 3320 West Cody Braverson Parkway.
Officials say the vehicle was heading westbound and was going to turn into a driveway, when a motorcyclist was traveling up the shoulder and collided into the car.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene. The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is still ongoing and West Valley City Police has eastbound 4100 S blocked to traffic. They say it will be blocked until the investigation is complete.
