(KRON) – Police chased an armed felon on foot in San Pablo on Tuesday night, according to authorities.
The San Pablo Police Department said officers responded to a report of a “suspicious vehicle circling the block and possibly casing vehicles.”
The driver of the car ran out of the vehicle once officers arrived, police said. Authorities were able to detain the suspect. It was determined that the suspect was carrying a loaded handgun.

The driver was identified as a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing any firearms.
The suspect was arrested and booked into a county jail.
