Storm Team 10 and the National Hurricane Center are monitoring two tropical waves in the Atlantic Ocean. The most robust wave has a high likelihood of becoming a tropical system within the next two days as the NHC has a 90% chance for tropical development. The next name on the list is Gabrielle.
Invest 92L in the central Atlantic is showing more signs of organization this morning with numerous showers and storms. More than likely, this area will develop into Tropical Storm Gabrielle today or tomorrow as it moves northwest. Fortunately, models are consistent with a path that keeps this system in the Atlantic and well away from the Gulf.
A new tropical wave is emerging off of the coast of Africa but has a low chance for tropical development currently. The forecast uncertainty is high whether this can reach the Caribbean Sea but models are already suggesting it takes a northerly turn and stays in the Atlantic.
