LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Kentucky school district is speaking out after controversial social media posts by an employee following Charlie Kirk’s death.

Floyd County Superintendent Tonya Horne-Williams said the comments brought unwanted attention to the district – and reminded staff they’re expected to maintain professionalism both in and out of the classroom.

She added that the district is committed to making sure schools remain safe, respectful, and inclusive.

Leaders said this is a personnel matter and no additional details will be released.
