Visalia police detectives reported around 11 a.m., they conducted a stop on a U-Haul near Murray Avenue and Jacob Street after it made an illegal U-turn.
Officers say the driver, 36-year-old David Ramos, was uncooperative, rolling up his window and reaching for his waist. The detective broke the window using a glass breaker, concerned that Ramos was reaching for a weapon.
Police report Ramos was taken into custody and no weapons were found; however, he was found to have several active warrants. The warrants included a domestic violence hold, multiple felony warrants for weapons violations, vehicle theft, a PRCS violation and a misdemeanor warrant for driving without a license.
Visalia Police report Ramos was ultimately booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
