Wanted felon caught with guns and drugs in Visalia, police say
On Aug. 22, law enforcement conducted a surveillance operation at a home belonging to 37-year-old Nadier Edward Batshon in the 2600 block of South Kloth Avenue.
Police say Batshon had five outstanding warrants for his arrest, was on Post Release Community Supervision for a prior conviction of bringing narcotics into a correctional facility, and had multiple felony convictions.
During a probation search, officers say they found narcotics and ammunition, along with a large gun safe. After obtaining a search warrant, they found a privately manufactured AR-15 style machine gun, a 9mm Smith & Wesson Shield pistol reported lost, a Benelli 12-gauge shotgun, multiple large and standard-capacity magazines, approximately 350 rounds of ammunition, and five grams of methamphetamine.
Batshon was taken into custody a few blocks from his home and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Visalia.
