SALT LAKE CITY (
ABC4) — Can’t make it to New York Fashion Week? No worries. City Creek Center is bringing fashion to the heart of SLC with their
Fall Fashion Week.
Natalie Watson, the marketing director for City Creek Center, said that during the week, various events at City Creek Center will showcase exciting fall fashion and the offerings of the center’s stores for the upcoming season.
“It will be a great time for people to come and just get excited about fall fashion,” Watson said.
Fall Fashion Night
Fashion lovers, or just those wanting a fun night out, can attend Fall Fashion Night on Sept. 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nordstrom Court in City Creek Center.
Watson said that the evening will have a runway fashion show, live mannequin displays, fashion fit check photo booths, and refreshments.
“Our big part of the event is our fashion show,” Watson said. “That’s where we are going to showcase many of our stores and their fashion outlooks for this fall.”
The event does not have a dress code, but Watson said that she would love to see people dressed in their own fashion for all of the photo opportunities that will be offered.
“People love to get, you know, those fit check photos of themselves. So it’s a fun way, and a fun reason to get dressed up and go out on the town,” Watson said.
College Fashion Fest
Friday night is not the only opportunity for fashion lovers in Utah to enjoy City Creek Center’s Fall Fashion Week.
On Saturday evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., college students are invited to kick off the fall semester at the College Fashion Fest.
Watson said that any student who shows their student id will get access to the college lounge where they will get free swag and opportunities to win gift cards. Additionally, there will be free food and a live DJ.
Kids Fashion Fun
Prior to the College Fashion Fest, the Kids Fashion Fun will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Watson said that the event will have t-shirt decorating, bracelet making, face painting, doll creation, and more. College students will be there assisting the kids.
“So, something for the kids and family, and then also college students,” Watson said.
All three events are free to the public.
