Work underway on southbound Twin Bridge

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A major traffic alert for drivers using the Twin Bridges in Henderson.

Work is now underway on the southbound bridge. The southbound bridge is going down to one lane at night. The left lane was closed earlier Thursday morning. Drivers had to merge lanes near the entrance to Ellis Park.

Transportation officials say for the next 40 days, the southbound bridge will be down to one lane each night from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Northbound traffic is not slated to be affected.

We’re told crews are making repairs to the southbound bridge after finding some issues during an inspection last year.
