Thousands of North Carolina tax refund checks, notices mailed after printing issues, state says

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The North Carolina Department of Revenue says all of the delayed refund checks and notices have been mailed.

CBS 17 Investigates reported back in May about the department’s printing and mailing vendor unexpectedly shutting down.

This caused a delay in mailing more than 400,000 notices, as well as about 300,000 personal and business refund checks.

NCDOR hired a new printing and mailing vendor and resumed normal operations, according to its website.
