Pennsylvania based DICK’S Sporting Goods finalizes Foot Locker acquisition

(WHTM) – Pennsylvania-based DICK’s Sporting Goods has finalized its acquisition of the footwear and apparel retailer Foot Locker.

DICK’s will now operate more than 3,200 stores across 20 countries while continuing to operate the Foot Locker brand. The $2.4 billion deal was first announced in May.

According to DICK’s, the deal “is expected to deliver between $100 million to $125 million in cost synergies in the medium term.”

Founded in 1948, DICK’s is headquartered in Pittsburgh and also operates the Golf Galaxy brand.
