IMPD: Person injured in ‘disturbance’ on west side

INDIANAPOLIS – A person was injured in an early Monday morning disturbance, police say.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched after 4 a.m. to Crawfordsville Road and Waterfront Parkway West Drive on Indy’s west side.

Images from the scene showed multiple police units responded to the area.

Police initially went to the location on a report of a person shot. The call was later changed to reflect a disturbance with a weapon.

During an update later Monday morning, IMPD said a person was injured during a disturbance. The injury was not from a gunshot, IMPD said.

The incident remains under investigation.
