ROBERTSON COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Torilena Fields, the Kentucky woman accused of killing her mother in 2024 and cooking her remains, appeared in court on Monday.
The investigation into her mother’s death has faced delays due to evidence backlogs, psychological evaluations, and more.
Fields underwent a court-mandated psychiatric evaluation in July after her attorney raised questions about her ability to participate in her defense.
Fields’ lawyer said budgetary constraints could be slowing down the analysis and entry of evidence in the case.
She’s scheduled to appear back in court on Oct. 13.
