Drunk driver in Santa Rosa found with two firearms: PD

(KRON) – Two firearms were found in a Santa Rosa man’s car when he was driving drunk on Saturday, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department. 

Santa Rosa police officers responded to the 1000 block of Spenlow Road for the report of an armed man at approximately 12:35 p.m. Police were informed that the suspect was “walking around inside his residence with a gun to his head.”

The suspect drove off in his blue Toyota coupe as responding officers arrived. Police said officers pulled over the Toyota and found a loaded and concealed firearm. Police said, in total, they found two firearms. It was not disclosed when the second firearm was located.

The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Casey Eugene Jones. Police said Jones displayed signs of intoxication. After evaluation, it was determined he was intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration more than four times the legal limit. 

Jones was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail for the following offenses:

  • Driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage
  • DUI with a BAC of .08 percent or higher
  • Carrying a loaded firearm while not the registered owner
  • Carrying a loaded firearm in a public place
  • Carrying a concealed loaded firearm in a vehicle
