Santa Rosa man drove off after holding gun to his own head: PD
Casey Eugene Jones was accused of driving under the influence and firearms violations.
Officers were dispatched about 12:35 p.m. Saturday to the residence near the 1000 block of Spenlow Road on a report that a man was walking around inside with a gun to his head, police said in a press release.
As officers were responding to the residence, the man drove away in his blue Toyota Coupe, police said.
When officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, Jones was found to be in possession of a loaded, concealed firearm, police said. Officers located a second firearm in the trunk of the vehicle. Neither gun was registered to Jones.
“Jones submitted to a chemical test which revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was more than four times the legal limit of .08%,” said police in a social media post.
Jones was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail where they face several charges, including carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.
