Two people critically injured after crashing into ditch off I-39
The crash was reported at 10:25 a.m.
Blackhawk Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Kevin Schulz said a vehicle was heading south on I-39 and lost control at Mile Marker 115, crossed over the northbound lanes, and crashed into the ditch.
Two people were taken from the scene via ambulance to Rockford area hospitals and are said to have suffered critical injuries.
New Milford Fire Protection District, Blackhawk Fire, Cherry Valley Fire, and the Winnebago County Sheriff were among the agencies summoned to the scene.
