POCOPSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — Wednesday afternoon, someone tried to break out of a county prison previously in the spotlight for a high-profile escape.
The Chester County District Attorney’s Office said an inmate attempted to escape from the Chester County Prison in Pocopson Township.
“He was quickly apprehended due to a combination of security features and prison staff,” the district attorney’s office said. “All inmates are accounted for and there is no threat to the community.”
The prison was in the national spotlight last year after convicted killer Danilo Cavalcante’s acrobatic escape and subsequent manhunt.
