Motorcycle rider critically injured after colliding with SUV in Richmond

RICHMOND, Ind. — A motorcycle rider was critically injured after a Wednesday morning crash in Richmond.

The Richmond Police Department said the crash occurred at S. 13th Street and S. O Street at approximately 8:48 a.m.

Investigators believe the motorcycle rider was traveling south on 13th Street when they collided with an SUV traveling eastbound on O Street. The driver of the SUV was not injured and stayed on scene, police said.

The motorcycle rider was transported to a hospital in Ohio, where they were listed in critical condition.

This was the second crash in two straight days in Wayne County. On Tuesday, a motorcycle collided with a trailer in Williamsburg. A passenger on the motorcycle died as a result of the collision.

The same day, just north in Randolph County, a motorcycle rider died after colliding with a trash truck.
