ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4) — A bus driver for the Washington County School District has been arrested as part of an investigation into child sexual abuse material, police say.

According to a press release from the St. George Police Department, the department’s Investigation Division’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) team received a tip from the Utah Attorney General’s Office regarding a person downloading child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Police say that through their investigation of the tip, they connected the CSAM files to Daniel Workman, who was working as a bus driver with the Washington County School District. The school district has been made aware, the press release says.

Today, Sept. 3, the St. George Police ICAC team served a search warrant at the residence of Workman around 10:20 a.m. He was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail, where he is currently being held on 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The St. George Police Department is asking that anyone with additional information contact the police department at 435-627-4300 and reference incident 25P021102.

This is a developing story. ABC4 will update this post as new information becomes available.
