HOLMES COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – One person was killed during a crash on Interstate 55 in Holmes County.

The crash occurred on I-55 near the 164-mile marker around 12:45 p.m. on September 2, 2025.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover was traveling south on I-55 when it left the road and collided with a ditch in the median.

The driver, who was identified as 66-year-old Sheryl C. Mann, of Benton, received fatal injuries and died at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
