Vernon Parish sees arrests for theft and firearm offenses

LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) – Sheriff Sam Craft has announced a series of recent arrests made by the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office between Aug. 25 and Sept. 2, 2025.

On August 25, deputies arrested Dallas Joanna Nash, 43, of Leesville, on an outstanding bench warrant. Bond was set at $2,500, which Nash posted before being released.

The following day, Kristy Clifford, 46, of Leesville, was taken into custody on one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She remains in the Vernon Parish Jail without bond, and a detainer was placed on her by the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole.

On August 27, Bradford Lewis Moyers, 49, of Rosepine, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant. His bond was set at $1,500, which he posted before being released.

On August 28, Brooklyn Raine Perkins, 26, of Anacoco, was arrested on a bench warrant from Sabine Parish and later transferred there. That same day, Deja Davon Turner, 30, of Leesville, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant and remains jailed without bond. Deputies also arrested Thomas Alex Occhiline, 48, of Leesville, on two counts of theft and two counts of illegal possession of a stolen firearm. He remains in custody without bond. Thomas Paul Smith, 53, of Anacoco, was arrested on one count of possession of a firearm or carrying of a concealed weapon by a felon. He is also being held without bond.

On August 29, Karl Lee Brewton, 65, of Anacoco, was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a Schedule II narcotic. He remains in jail without bond. Deputies also arrested Jeffery Ray Lee, 58, of Anacoco, on one count of theft and one count of theft of a firearm. He is being held without bond.

On August 30, James Thomas Sheppard, 34, of Leesville, was arrested on two bench warrants. He remains in the parish jail without bond.

Most recently, on September 2, Jason Paul Ledoux, 39, of DeRidder, was arrested on two outstanding bench warrants. He was ordered to serve 90 days in the parish jail.
