Juvenile arrested after allegedly trying to set food truck on fire
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A juvenile was taken into custody Saturday night after they allegedly tried to light a food truck on fire in Downtown Silver Spring.

Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) Third District Commander Jason Cokinos said that around 6 p.m., officers received a call about someone trying to set a food truck on fire in the 800 block of Thayer Avenue.

The police department quickly deployed its “Raven 3” drone to assess the situation and locate the suspect. However, when officers arrived and began to approach the suspect, they ran, according to MCPD.

Despite this, officers were able to catch the juvenile and arrest them, finding a handgun in their bag, Cokinos noted.

The juveniles’ age and sex have not been released.
