17-year-old dead, 2 with life-threatening injuries in Sibley County crash

A crash in Sibley County left a 17-year-old girl dead and two others with serious injuries on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Chevy K30 was going west on Highway 19 just after 1 p.m. in Dryden Township when it collided with a Pontiac Bonneville going east.

The driver of the Pontiac, 17-year-old Mya Jean Maus, died as a result of the crash.

State Patrol says a 50-year-old man and a 41-year-old man in the Chevy were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 17-year-old also in the Chevy was brought to the same hospital, but his injuries are unknown at this time.
