SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Several vehicles were involved in a car accident on I-80 eastbound near milepost 133, leading to temporary lane closures.
According to Utah Department of Transportation, a multi-vehicle car crash led to lane closures at milepost 133 in Parley’s Canyon. Two lanes were closed, and multiple emergency vehicles responded to the scene.
The incident involved five vehicles, according to Utah Highway Patrol. No serious injuries were reported.
UDOT’s initial estimate was that the incident will be cleared up around 6:45 p.m., but it appears that all lanes have been reopened as of 6:30 p.m. The involved vehicles have moved over to the right shoulder.
It is likely that travelers will experience delays in the area, in addition to Labor Day Weekend traffic. If possible, people should consider delaying travel in the area or avoid it altogether, until the crash is cleared.
