High storm chances today, Summer weather for Labor Day
In the tropics, a tropical wave moving off the coast of Africa will have a chance of development later this week as it heads westward. There’s plenty of time to watch this and there’s no tropical threat to the United States or Acadiana anytime soon.
Locally, summer weather continues this week with daily storm chances and temperatures in the 90s. By late week, a dry air front will settle southward and should bring slightly drier conditions for next weekend. It will also take away rain chances from the area into next weekend. Mornings look to be in the upper 60s and lower 70s next Saturday.
