Garbage truck crashes, knocking down power lines in Bethesda
Pete Piringer, with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said units responded to the 6600 block of Bradley Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. for a crash. He said the truck ran off the road and crashed into a tree before rolling over.
The crash left wires down and debris across the road.

Piringer said medics took the truck driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Pepco outage map, about 25 customers have lost power in the area.
Officials said fuel also spilled during collision, and a HazMat crew is on the scene.
Bradley Boulevard is currently blocked off in both directions between Fernwood and Hillmead roads.
“Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route and expect significant delays,” said police in a post on X.
