Baptist Health College Little Rock hits highest fall enrollment in five years
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health College Little Rock officials announced that fall enrollment has reached 684 students, the school’s highest in five years.

This year’s total reflects a 15% increase from fall 2024 and includes traditional nursing, practical nursing, and allied health students, officials said.

According to BHCLR, 368 students are enrolled in traditional nursing, 150 in practical nursing, and 166 in allied health programs.

Dr. Karen James, interim president and dean of allied health programs, said the record enrollment reflects a commitment to expanding programs to meet workforce needs and supporting students through their academic journey.

“The growth we`re seeing this fall is a reflection of students` trust in Baptist Health College Little Rock and the opportunities our programs provide,” said Kristin Waddell, registrar and director of admissions at BHCLR. “It`s exciting to welcome the largest student body we`ve had in five years and to know these future health care professionals are choosing BHCLR as the place to begin their journey.”

Baptist Health College Little Rock has served Arkansans since 1921 and currently offers nine programs of study, including two nursing programs and seven allied health programs, officials said.
