Energy drink company Red Bull facilitated one of its athletes to jump 5,500 feet from the sky and complete the first skysurf and grind across the bridge on Saturday.
The gnarly stunt was performed by American skysurfing pioneer Sean MacCormac, who has jumped more than 400 times in his tandem skydive career.
After taking on the bridge, MacCormac glided through the sky onto a barge.
“This was probably the most intense, wildest project I’ve ever done,” said MacCormac.
MacCormac has logged more than 22,000 lifetime skydives and is recognized as one of the sport’s foremost pioneers, according to Red Bull.
It appears that the Bay Bridge was closed at the time of the stunt.
