Everything Coming to Apple TV in May 2026
Despite reports that it’s far from the most lucrative part of the Apple ecosystem, Apple TV continues to throw money at high-quality programming while also being the streaming home for all things F1. In May, the Apple-owned service will get new episodes of ongoing series like For All Mankind and Margo’s Got Money Troubles while premiering even more originals, including a For All Mankind spin-off, Star City.
Here’s everything Apple TV has confirmed will be coming to the streaming service this month.
Apple TV is kicking off the new month with the continuation of two Apple Originals we’re particularly big fans of. Per our review of the full season, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters manages to offers “the best balance of kaiju thrills and compelling storytelling” of any Monsterverse project. If you aren’t scared of spoilers, the final episode happens to solidify a pretty interesting franchise connection.
For All Mankind’s fifth season will continue to get new episodes every Friday until the end of the month, when we’ll also get our hands on the Russia-focused spin-off, Star City. There’s been some ups and downs over the course of the new season, but it’s safe to say a very old Joel Kinnaman is still the coolest.
This is the Wednesday slate of Apple Originals this month. Margo’s Got Money Troubles has already made quite a splash. The A24-produced series stars Elle Fanning as a young woman who turns to Only Fans to support an unexpected baby. If you’re willing to put up with some minor spoilers, you can check out our 8/10 review of the full season for more details.
Widow’s Bay stars Rhys Ifans (The Americans) as a New England mayor dealing with a potential curse, while Criminal Record follows two detectives working on the same murder case.
Alongside yet another new episode of For All Mankind, Apple TV will debut Unconditional, a new series from the producers behind Homeland. The eight-episode series follows a mother working to save her daughter from Russia’s criminal underworld. After a classic two-episode premiere, new episodes will be released every Friday through mid-June.
Aside from our established slate of Wednesday episodes, May 20 will also see the premiere of a new Apple Original, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. If you were anywhere near as obsessed with Orphan Black as I was, this one’s worth keeping an eye on. Tatiana Maslany stars as a recently divorced soccer mom who finds herself wrapped up in a world of murder and blackmail.
This seems crazy to me, but as far as Apple TV has indicated literally anywhere, the final episode of For All Mankind Season 5 is dropping on the same day as the spinoff series Star City premieres. Big day for space shows, I suppose.
Like plenty of other premieres on this list, Star City will drop two episodes on May 29 before continuing with one episode a week for 10 episodes total.
May 29 also happens to be the day Apple TV is premiering its only original film of the month. Propeller One-Way Night Coach is a family adventure film that happens to be written and directed by none other than John Travolta based on a children’s novel he wrote back in the ‘90s.
Apple TV continues to keep it simple with a single ad-free subscription plan, though the price of that plan was recently increased from $9.99 to $12.99/month. The service also launched a new bundle with Peacock that gets you both services for $14.99/month with ads or $19.99/month ad-free.
In the broader Apple-verse, Apple CEO Tim Cook recently announced his retirement. John Ternus, the current SVP of Hardware Engineering, will take over the CEO position this September.
It’s pretty well-known that Apple TV isn’t exactly the most profitable element of Apple as a whole, so here’s to hoping a new era of leadership is still willing to dump money into awesome original programming.
