FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — Virginia State Police have issued a CODI Alert for a missing 16-year-old boy who was last seen in Fredericksburg on Friday night.
State police said Alexander Chase Lopez, 16, was last seen at around 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 22 on Charlotte Street.
At the time of his disappearance, he was spotted wearing a black hoodie and dark gray sweatpants, according to investigators. Police described the teen as 5 feet 5 inches tall with brown eyes and brown hair. He weighs around 145 pounds.

VSP said that Lopez’s disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety. Lopez is known to frequent downtown Fredericksburg and has ties to Caroline County, Fredericksburg police noted.
Authorities urge anyone who sees the missing teen to call 911.
