Missing Dixon man found dead in Whiteside County

DIXON, Ill. (WTVO) — David Dykema, 52, was found dead in Whiteside County after a three-day search.

Dixon’s police chief gave his condolences to the family after the discovery.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with David’s family and friends during this difficult time,” Chief Ryan Bivins shared.

Officials are still investigating the incident and the cause of Dykema’s death.

Dykema was last seen on August 19 in the 300 block of Depot Avenue.
