BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Companion Animal Alliance received a generous donation of pet supplies following the successful Fill the Truck event.

The supplies, collected last week outside the Walmart on Burbank Drive, were delivered in a Gerry Lane Buick-GMC truck to the Companion Animal Alliance. The event is part of the annual Clear the Shelters campaign, which aims to find homes for shelter animals.

During the Fill the Truck event, shoppers at Walmart were encouraged to donate pet items, contributing to the cause. Walmart itself made a sizable donation, boosting the overall collection of supplies.

The Clear the Shelters campaign is an ongoing effort to support animal shelters by providing necessary resources and facilitating adoptions. Events like Fill the Truck play a crucial role in gathering community support and resources.

The delivery of supplies to Companion Animal Alliance marks a significant step in supporting local shelters and highlights the community’s commitment to animal welfare.
