Wanted: Suspect in Labriesha Patterson’s fatal shooting

DISCLAIMER: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Shreveport Police have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of Labriesha Patterson.

The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is actively searching for Semaj Mitchell, the last outstanding suspect in the fatal August 18, 2025 shooting.

Mitchell is wanted for one count of Second-Degree Murder by the SPD Violent Crimes Unit.

Three other suspects have already been arrested and charged in connection with this case:

  • Deceldrion Gay (04/04/2006)
  • Tywann Gipson (04/03/2008)
  • Rodney Thomas Jr. (09/12/2005)

Detectives urge anyone with information on Mitchell’s location to call them immediately.
