Shreveport woman arrested for vehicular homicide in fatal crash

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreveport Police have arrested a woman for allegedly being under the influence during a deadly crash.

According to the SPD, 22-year-old Victoria Jones has been arrested in connection with the death of 41-year-old Kendrick Williams. The victim died after colliding with Jones at the intersection of Tate Street and Broadway Avenue on Saturday, August 23, just after 5:00 p.m.

Jones was driving a black Toyota Camry southbound on Broadway Avenue shortly before she collided with Williams, who was driving a blue Suzuki motorcycle. The victim was taken to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Jones was not injured in the incident, but she was taken for breath and blood tests. It was determined that she was impaired at the time of the crash.

Jones has been arrested for vehicular homicide, but the investigation is still ongoing.
