CPD seeking to identify woman found on the Northwest Side overnight

CHICAGO (WGN) — Authorities in Chicago are asking for help identifying a woman found on the city’s Northwest Side overnight.

According to Chiago police, the unidentified woman, described as an “elderly female,” was found on Wednesday night near the intersection of North Cicero Avenue and West Diversey Avenue in Belmont Cragin.

Officers say they believe the woman is at least 80 years old and was not able to provide officers with details on her identity or place of residence.

The woman, who stands about 4-foot-11 and weighs around 100 pounds, has grey hair and brown eyes.

Officers said at the time she was located, the woman was wearing a turquoise shirt with a yellow dress underneath, as seen in the photograph provided by authorities.

Authorities shared details about the woman in a news release sent out early Thursday morning, though it is unclear how authorities found her.
