Rockford Education Association secures new teacher contracts after lengthy negotiations
The Rockford School Board voted unanimously to approve new teacher contracts Wednesday night. This comes after the Rockford Education Association voted in favor of the district’s offer over the weekend.
RPS 205 and the Rockford Teachers Union remain at the bargaining table with teacher contracts. The union recently voted to authorize a potential strike, if a deal can't be reached. Students at East High School expressed concerns regarding how a strike could impact the rest of their senior year.
