IMPD: Fatal crash on Indy's southwest side
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating a fatal crash on the city’s southwest side.

According to IMPD, just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to reports of a personal injury crash near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and South Lynhurst Drive.

When police arrived, they found a black pickup truck and a white hatchback; the driver of the black pickup truck, a male who had moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital. A male was found in the hatchback and was unresponsive.

Wane Township medics arrived on scene and pronounced the driver of the hatchback dead.

Eastbound Kentucky Avenue and westbound South Lyndhurst Drive will be closed for a considerable amount of time while the IMPD fatal crash team is investigating what led to the accident.

No additional information has been made known at this time.
